LOS ANGELES (June 21, 2019) — Multi-platinum, four-time GRAMMY-nominated rock band Goo Goo Dolls have unveiled their new single “Miracle Pill” today via Warner Records. The track will be featured on the band’s brand new album of the same name set to be released this fall. Underscored by a memorable piano riff, sweeping guitars, and a swaggering rhythm, the track sees lead singer John Rzeznik cleverly skewer the instant gratification generation with a catchy chorus and a message that goes down easier than anything from the pharmacy. The song is available now on all digital streaming platforms HERE.

If you’re feeling sad, you take a pill. If you need approval, you go on Instagram and receive it immediately. It speaks to the second decade of 21stcentury angst. We’re inundated by bullshit, garbage, and false solutions to every problem we have. The real path is to work hard, be nice, and keep going. However, this route gets overlooked, because we’re all looking for the ultimate shortcut and escape.”
Earlier this month, Goo Goo Dolls kicked off a co-headlining amphitheater tour alongside GRAMMY-winning band Train, which has garnered rave reviews right out of the gate:
The run will make numerous stops at outdoor venues across North America this summer before concluding on August 17, 2019 in Mansfield, MA at Xfinity Center. Goo Goo Dolls will then embark on several South American tour dates, including a highly anticipated appearance at the iconic music festival Rock in Rio on September 29th, 2019 in Rio de Janeiro. To date, they’ve sold 12 million albums worldwide, earned four GRAMMY® Award nominations, and made history by notching 14 Top 10 hits at Hot AC—”the most of any artist in history.” Notably, “Iris” dominated the Hot 100 at #1 for 18 straight weeks. Among eleven full-length records, A Boy Named Goo [1995] went double-platinum, Dizzy UpThe Girl went quadruple-platinum, and Gutterflower [2002] and Let Love In [2006] both went gold as Something for the Rest of Us [2010] and Magnetic [2013] bowed in the Top 10 of the Billboard Top 200. 2016’s Boxes attracted the praise of People and Huffington Post as Noisey, Consequence of Sound, and more featured them.
In 2017, the You Should Be Happy EP spawned another anthem in the form of “Use Me,” which quickly generated 3 million-plus Spotify streams. Their music has been covered by everyone from Taylor Swift to Leona Lewis.
Following a sold-out 2018 twentieth anniversary tour in celebration of Dizzy Up The Girl, Goo Goo Dolls wrote and recorded their twelfth full-length album,Miracle Pill [Warner
