Singer, Michael Angel, said of the recording, “We worked hard to lift the vocals on this track. Producer Nino Errico (AMP Studios), floated the idea of a vocal intro after we had laid down the first few lines of the chorus. He could hear something extra within my performance, and we are so pleased with the outcome. We worked out the harmonies together, line by line with the music still there, then lifted everything out and created a vocal intro, which I’m really proud of – it’s so powerful on its own! Then the track kicks in and you get the full power of the song which is driven hard by the solid work of David Steele with the well-crafted bass melodies that give so much to the feel and structure of the tune. Add to that the piano and keys that bring out a hidden melody within the music, and the enormous slowly building solo from Chip, and you start to understand the many layers within this track. The end result sounds a lot simpler than the effort that has gone in, but that just shows the superb work of Nino in production and mixing in lifting out each aspect, not cluttering the sound. What we were aiming for was a song that takes you on a journey, to a new future filled with hopes and dreams – and we got that…. And a little bit more.

Michael Angel and Ranko ‘Chip’ Veltro are long time musical partners and have produced two studio albums under the name of FUGITIVE. But in 2017 the band undertook a line-up change, with bassist, David Steele, and drummer Al Catraz joining the pair to form what feels like a whole new band.
Having cut their teeth on the UK biker gig scene, MkII of the band knuckled down and wrote The Awakening, which has garnered rave reviews across the rock press and reached the Amazon Rock Album Chart Top 10. It was released through CAT Records Music Label with Cargo Records taking up worldwide distribution.
