After a hugely successful, year long tour promoting the 30th anniversary of Operation Mindcrime, a money spinning set of dates with Avantasia and a brand new album with Sweet Oblivion the man with the incredible vocal range is coming back to the UK.

I have been lucky enough to catch Geoff each year for a few years now in Glasgow and each year he and his incredible band have blown me away. As a long standing fan of Queensryche I was there from the bands very first gig as support to Dio way back in the 80s and I am happy to confirm that Geoff is every bit as good(if not better) than when I watched them on the rise as a fledgling band.
Many things have changed over the years but the power in his voice and the sparkle in his eyes have not diminished one iota with him putting in some incredible performances. This tour is the second part to a trilogy of tours over three years which started with Operation Mindcrime’s 30th anniversary and is completed in 2020 with the 30th Anniversary of the classic album “Empire” and with a full play through of “Rage For Order”.
The tour this August starting at Stone Deaf Festival is focused around the greatest hits and promises to include the songs we know and love as well as some special treats. This tour is one not to be missed and with the added bonus of one of the UKs brightest, upcoming bands in Gin Annie it guarantees to be a highlight of your gigging year.
Full tour dates are below but to whet your appetite for the shows we have delved into our archives and pulled out an interview we done with Geoff last year after his two shows at Winterstorm Festival in Troon. Go grab some popcorn and find out some back stories on the making of Operation Mindcrime, his thoughts on the legend Ronnie James Dio and the sad state of affairs that is American politics.
