Monsterfest, Inverness’ indoor music event has announced the day splits of the acts performing, and added more local talent to the festival which takes place at The Ironworks venue.
Rockers, The Wildhearts headline on Friday November 13, and it is FM who top the bill on Sat 14th November. This will be the first time performing in the Scottish Highlands for both bands.
On the Friday fans will also see Norfolk’s Bad Touch, alobg with Chemia, and Tomorrow Is Lost. Saturday’s line-up includes former Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy and Dead Daisies member Marco Mendoza, and melodic rockers VEGA, amongst a range of other acts appearing over the weekend.
Opening on Friday are Orkney based groove rockers Electric Mother, and rap-rock act The Vandal from Inverness will be first onstage on Saturday. Monsterfest Director Iona Allison said “Providing a platform for local talent has always been a key part of what our event is all about. We are delighted to be continuing that theme this year, by adding these artists to what is a terrific bill”
This year Monsterfest has expanded to run over four days, with school children and young people getting the chance to find out about the music business from industry experts on Thu Nov 12. This will be followed by ‘The Monster Fringe’ featuring local bands and headlined in the evening by Welsh rock band Those Damn Crows, who recently charted and completed a sell-out UK tour.
