Southern rockers, Black Stone Cherry and Canadian hard rockers Monster Truck joined forces during lockdown, over a series of live Zoom video calls to create a song from scratch. From these calls, Cherry Truck was born and now they are releasing a special charity single ‘Love Become Law’.

All proceeds from the single are being split between 2 charities as chosen by the bands; Black Stone Cherry will donate their proceeds to The Boys and Girls Club of America and Monster Truck to Black Lives Matter. In addition to the track, Cherry Truck have also made the writing and recording sessions available to view (see links below)
The lyrics are topical, about coming together and loving each person for themselves, but is the track any good? Well when you have 2 heavyweights like this joining forces, you know you are in for something special and this is a killer track from the off, with Chris Robertson’s rasping tones soon filling the speakers before Jon Harvey joins – who knew how well they would compliment each other?
These boys blow away any lockdown cobwebs you might have as two bands become one and let loose a thumping drum beat which carries you along and riffs that fill your ears. This has got everything; drum solos, guitar solos, great vocals, massive riffs, two of the hottest bands around and it’s all for good causes – what’s not to like?
Rock ‘n roll has always led the way with songs of protest or that raise awareness and this is no exception, but few sound as good as this.
‘Love Become Law’ was released on 9th July 2020
