AOR exponents, Jefferson Starship, most well known in the 80’s for `Jane’ and their two chart hits, `We Built This City’ and `Nothings Gonna Stop Us Now’, have just released a new single ahead of their upcoming seven track EP `Mother Of The Sun’ which is their first new material in twelve years.

The track `It’s About Time’, was not only written by existing band members, Jude Gold and Cathy Richardson, but also with Glace Slick who was in the band at the time of their chart hits.

The song and its subject matter is very apt in the current climate in a world full of uncertainty as it calls for us all to unite, look after each other, and to look after our planet. Could this be the anthem to get us out of the Corona Virus Pandemic?

In true Jefferson Starship style, the track is upbeat, dripping with catchy hooks and sing along choruses as well as some tasty riffs and will certainly be picked up by the radio stations. This could well be a great indicator for a very promising EP and shows that the current line-up of David Freiburg, Donny Baldwin, Cathy Richardson, Chris Smith and Jude Gold are a force to be reckoned with.
