Some of the greatest songs are born out of struggle and a fight against injustice, capturing not just the spirit of the time but acting as a siren call that echoes down through the years.

Joining that world changing pantheon is a Herculean task but something that Sari Schorr has achieved with ‘The New Revolution’. Originally recorded in 2018, the song addresses the very real situation we find ourselves in now and brings, once more, into sharp relief the passion of Dr Martin Luther King, to whom the song is dedicated.
The New Yorker has seen a constantly growing profile, her soul shattering blues voice, electric stage persona and natural songwriting flair gaining more and more of the spotlight.
This, though, may well be the most important thing she’s ever released and stands, not just as a fitting testament to Dr King, but as her stake in music immortality and as a sure sign that she is an artist whose star keeps on rising.
With an incredibly powerful and moving video to accompany the song, Sari Schorr has created a piece of work that marks her out as not just a huge talent, but a very important one
