Roger Taylor – ‘Isolation’
Without doubt, barring maybe the Beatles, no band in the history of popular music is as well known or universally loved as Queen. Their back catalogue the envy of all and their legacy massive, each member a vital component to their success and all writing incredible material.

With such power, not even a pandemic could stop them and whilst Brian May and Roger Taylor, accompanied by Adam Lambert, may have had to curtail their planned ‘Rhapsody’ tour this year, nothing can hold them back from creating music. Written and recorded in his home studio, this latest single brings something very special from the pen and imagination of Taylor.

The Queen drummer has always had an incredibly fertile talent and as the track opens with the ticking of a clock, he takes us on a gentle and pensive journey that speaks powerfully of an overwhelming optimism that the band are famous for.
Acoustic guitars and piano match Taylor’s distinctive voice perfectly, the music lifting and emphasising lyrics filled with hope, surely the most important thing at times like these. The title may be ‘Isolation’, but the message is one directed to the whole world and should be heard by everyone. Music truly is the universal language and now, more than ever, we need it to help bring us through.
This is a song not only for our times, but for the future too and is a shining light to help lead us to better days.
