Iron Maiden’s eponymous debut album ‘Iron Maiden’ is being re-released on vinyl this autumn to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
Originally released on 14th April 1980, ‘Iron Maiden’ will be available to buy on limited-edition crystal clear picture disc vinyl on Friday 9th October 2020 via Parlophone Records.
As well as marking the 40th anniversary of ‘Iron Maiden’, the release honours 2020’s National Album Day on Saturday 10th October – a celebration of the long-player in association with the Entertainment Retailers Association (ERA).
You can pre-order ‘Iron Maiden’ on vinyl from the band’s official website now.

‘Iron Maiden’ features the band’s early vocalist Paul Di’Anno (who also performed on 1981’s ‘Killers’) and it’s the only Maiden record to feature guitarist Dennis Stratton who exited in October 1980.
Songs including ‘Phantom Of The Opera’, ‘Running Free’ and ‘Iron Maiden’ are still considered classics by Maiden fans to this very day.
‘Iron Maiden’ was the album that saw the East London band start the journey that has led them over the course of four decades, sixteen studio albums, over 90 million album sales and more than 2000 concerts around the globe, to become the biggest and most acclaimed metal band on the planet.
The ‘Iron Maiden’ track-listing is as follows:
