The world might be falling apart at the seams but when Black Stone Cherry release new material you know it’s time to celebrate. The Kentucky four piece have been making waves since first appearing on the scene in 2001, graduating from local bars to sold out arenas and festival headline slots and rightly so.
Anyone who’s ever witnessed their live shows know the band give it all they have, always 110% commitment to the fans and the music, their irresistible rapport both onstage and off effortlessly spilling out into the audience. Everyone here is family.

Whilst their shows have won endless plaudits, it’s the strength of their material that really shines brightest and new single ‘Rise’ is a solid gold example of just why they’re so popular.
From the massive, pounding intro and into the bone deep groove you know you’re in classic Southern Hard Rock territory, the song all kick ass and melody. Huge dynamics and crushing rhythms thrill and smash in equal measure, the guitars full of crunch, the vocals a victorious declaration that brings the uplifting message to life.
The black and white video is ultra cool too. Black Stone Cherry may have well written the anthem of the Summer and with a new album on the horizon you know that the future’s looking a lot brighter. You need this song in your life.
