Review by Paul Monkhouse for MPM

Brazil has been the home to a fair few metal bands and three piece The Damnnation have now joined that glorious roll-call, joining giants such as Sepultura and Angra.

As perfectly befits the name of the band, the two tracks here are dark as night, thick with a foreboding atmosphere and are an absolute siren call to all those who love their music crushingly heavy and full of dread.

Showing the boys the way once again, the three ladies who make up the combo have absolutely no fear tearing into their instruments and with an unsettling glee take you down the constantly twisting and shifting corridors of this unsettling carnival ‘funhouse’ of terror.

Never resorting to cheap thrills or slasher movie pastiche, The Damnnation are the real deal and may well become your next doomy metal fix.
