Japanese tech-metal band D_Drive have released their follow up to recent single ‘Thumbs Up’ in the form of brand new track ‘Begin Again’.
The songs are the next step on from Maximum Impact, the bands international debut album.
The release paralleled D_Drive‘s first trip to the UK that had them playing Marshall Live and Camden rocks.
The instrumental metallers create a furious blend of genres to create their own sound branded as “Driving Rock”.
Reflecting on the composition of the song, guitarist Yuki said “We composed Begin Again when Toshi joined the band as our new bass player.
When any member joins, the groove of the band can change so it felt like a fresh start; I wanted to do my best to honour D_Drive’s driving rock sound but also capture the feeling of having a new member.
There are many people whose lives have changed significantly due to COVID-19 and it can be difficult to respond to those changes and I hope the message can inspire people as they “Begin Again
