German industrial metal titans Rammstein are reportedly back in the recording studio working on new material.
Members of Rammstein and their crew were apparently spotted at La Fabrique Studios in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France recently where they recorded their untitled 2019 album.
Fan site Rammstein World writes: “There’s no longer any doubt: Rammstein are back at La Fabrique studios, where they recorded their latest album!
“Some members and engineers of the band have been spotted in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, where the studio is located. Other people usually present in the studio with the band posted about their trip to France on social networks.
Fellow fan site RammWiki claims that Rammstein’s sound engineers Olsen Involtini and Florian Ammon have both recently posted about a trip to France.
Seemingly adding weight to the speculation, yesterday (14th September) Rammstein drummer Christoph Schneider posted a photo of himself on Instagram at Parc national des Calanques in Southern France, which is just down the road from La Fabrique Studios.
Schneider previously told The Boss Hoss show in June of this year: “We still have so many ideas lying around, so many unfinished songs. We met and we’re working on new songs. We want to work on songs, but whether it’s going to be a new record, nobody knows.”
May 2019’s Untitled Rammstein album spawned the singles ‘Deutschland’, ‘Radio’ and ‘Ausländer’ and dented the UK album chart at number three.
Earlier this year, Rammstein rescheduled their entire summer 2020 European stadium tour for 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Their UK shows will now call in at Belfast Boucher Road Playing Fields on Saturday 12th June 2021, Cardiff Principality Stadium on Wednesday 16th June and Coventry Ricoh Arena on Saturday 19th June 2021.
In March, Rammstein singer Till Lindemann was admitted to intensive care, however the band were forced to deny a German tabloid report it was for coronavirus.
