This is something we’ve not heard from Hellz, a.k.a. Lisa Perry, before: a bit of driving pop rock that seamlessly brings together her love for all things metal but with much more of a commercial edge.
With no sense of compromise or selling out, this is the Australian singer/songwriter showing different colours as she refuses to let herself get boxed in or categorized and you get the real feeling that this was a statement against those narrow constricts.
Sure, it rocks and features Hellz no-nonsense vocals but there is also a great crossover feel that should see her reaching new ears and that’s never a bad thing. A bit of late Summer warmth.
Waiting on the other side will be released on September the 5th worldwide on most music platforms.
