Just when you think you are missing gigs so much you could cry, Those Damn Crows blast onto our screens on a Saturday night, courtesy of Rockpalast Crossroads Festival in Bonn, Germany.
Playing to an actual audience, the Welsh boys gave it everything they got to remind their fans just why we love them. The guys must have been equally as thrilled to see real faces in front of them, enjoying their music,
Blasting out hit after hit, they opened with ‘Who Did It?’, then straight into ‘Long Time Dead’. A few bars of ‘Pinball Wizard’ were thrown in to keep people on their toes, along with a snippet of ‘Live and Let Die’, proving their sheer talent and musicality.
Goosebumps were evident for a beautiful acoustic version of ‘Say It’, leading into all time favourite ‘Sin on Skin’. Bringing it to a resounding with close, ‘Don’t Give a Damn’, Breakaway before asking us ‘Who Said Rock n Roll is Dead?’ – it certainly is not, as was clearly obvious from the (socially distanced) crowd participation!
It’s got to be said, that the videography sound quality was fantastic, which really added to the overall couch concert.
The comments on the live stream were so positive and people made their feelings clear – this was a fantastic and much needed gig.
But of course, we know it was the sheer talent of Those Damn Crows, every one of them, that made watching the hour long live stream of 16 songs, so damn enjoyable and it reminds us of why we all love going to gigs. We can’t wait to get out there again and see these guys in person, singing their hearts out for us all.
