Kapow, thwack and oh my God!

What an introduction to Ravenbreed’s new singer, Luke Short! As soon as you hit play, you will know straight away why he got the job.

Wasted Over You is the first release from their upcoming EP, and believe me, fans have been eagerly waiting to hear it.

You know it’s going to be brilliant when you go ‘whoooarrgghhh’ as soon as you hear the very first notes.

Thumping in with that heavy bass blasting out the speakers and pounding drums, I honestly didn’t know what to expect, then a sexy, gnarly riff ripped out.

And then Luke’s first words are “Break my bones”… it doesn’t get any more rock n roll than that. Luke’s vocals are so strong and he hits every note with ease and style, complimented by the heavy, snarly, complex riffs throughout.

Ravenbreed make proper rock music, there is no mistake about that and Wasted Over You is a hell of a way to prove it.

The guys clearly work together with ease and their technical skills are evident in every single note the whole way through this track, and that must have been challenging given the rotten situation the world has found itself in the past six months.

Luke has firmly established himself in the band and this musical onslaught is the result of their teamwork.

Ravenbreed are top of my list for a gig no matter where it is, I will be there because I can’t wait to hear these guys live.

Wasted Over You is being released on Friday 16th October.

Luke Short – vocals
Mikey Watkins – guitar
Ross Formosa – bass
Oli Watkins – drums
