Review by Paul Monkhouse for MPM

He’s back. One of the biggest talents of this or any generation, Michael Schenker makes an exceptionally welcome return with this scorching rocker that sees the master of the Flying V joined by keys maestro Derek Sherinian and Primal Fear frontman Ralph Scheepers.

Pulse pounding and adrenaline soaked, ‘Drilled To Kill’ races along like a nitro fueled Usain Bolt, a jackhammer to the senses.

One of the heaviest things the six stringer has ever done, this never sacrifices style for force and the dualing between guitar and keyboards is spectacular.

Matching the storm, Scheepers vocals are suitably wild, their rough-edged mania and melodic intensity bringing the perfect accompaniment to the intense lyrics.

A superb primer from the forthcoming ‘Immortal’ album, this takes things to another level and knocks it out of the ballpark and into the stratosphere.

This is an anti war song! From Michael Schenkers’ new MSG album ‘IMMORTAL’, out January 29th: http://nblast.de/MSG-Immortal.
