Review by Paul Monkhouse for MPM

Lauren Dove and Mark ‘Boweevil’ Howes have built up a hugely enviable reputation across the years, transitioning from a blues duo to then incorporating further musicians as they morphed into a full band as great critical and public acclaim was showered on them.

From their very earthy, mainly acoustic beginnings up until now they’ve seen a tremendous grasp of their craft and organically developed the sound so it takes on the many hues of the blues.

This latest track is without doubt the most mature thing they’ve done and the class they ooze from every pore has been turned up several notches in the heat.

Absolutely drenched in soul, this is a glorious throwback to those endless Summer days of the 60’s and 70’s, everything exuding a chilled out and sensual groove that will bring sunshine flooding into your heart.

From Lauren’s outstanding and sweet voice to the brilliant instrumentation, ‘Let’s Fly’ is crafted to perfection. Deliriously good.
