So, 2020 sees Pretty Maids frontman Ronnie Atkins step out on his own….and it’s awesome.
The new single ‘REAL’ has all the elements of a really strong 80s rock track but NOW. Melodies to die for, harmonies that soar, guitar riffs and licks that are spectacular, a driving rhythm section and a vocal that is up there with the best.
This is what is extremely impressive, Ronnie is not a young buck anymore and still he is able to deliver vocal performances that hold the range, the clarity and tone that any 20 year old would kill to have. So many vocalists have not taken care of their voice and now sound terrible and it’s always sad and this is why I have to give a massive high five and so much respect to Ronnie for still being able to smash it like this !
The track itself has an anthemic and big sounding quality to it and a really tight and precise production that needs to come with this kind of music.
Overall, loved it and can’t wait to hear the album….
