The new single ‘Too Late For Love’ by Chez Kane is absolutely stunning.

As soon as it started, and being a huge fan of hooky 80s rock, I was blown away.

The power chords, the keyboards, the melodic heart thumping drive! YES PLEASE!!! It instantly took me back to the glory days of Vixen, Robin Beck and Lita Ford and I tell you what, as with the aforementioned, Chez’s voice is spectacular.

She’s got the range, the tone and the slight rasp when she hits her sweet spots, everything that I love in a female rock vocal.

Structurally this song has been done so many times… but there is a reason for this ….IT BLOODY WORKS!

The harmonies are perfection and so big it fills your soul with happiness and that’s what music should do. It may be slightly sad lyrically, but my GOD does it make you want to break out the hairspray and air guitar.

I’ve always had a massive soft spot for bands and songs that deliver in this manner and so throughout I am smiling and thinking ( SING IT GIRL SING IT ) and then there’s a solo that is nothing sort of a masterclass in 80’s style solos and there’s key changes and melody lines that are special.

This is way you bring back the bombast of the hair metal days !!!

I really cannot wait to hear this album and hope I get to review it as this was awesome …Chez, you rock !
