Aahhooo! Yeah! Well alright, alright, alright!” The high lord of metallic horror Rod Zombie has placed a second helping of wondrous, gory stomping delight upon the rock n’ roll autopsy table.
Following in the gut-thumping footsteps of the eclectic initial taster ‘The Triumph of King Freak’ Zombie has given forth ‘The Eternal Struggles of the Howling Man’ to further pique the interest of the masses in his forthcoming studio release.
Available on Nuclear Blast from March 12th the phantasmagorically entitled ‘The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy’ will be Zombie’s first new material since 2016’s ‘Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor’.
With this second offering the appetite for the forthcoming new material is certainly whetted; from the psych-horror opening through to the Hawkwind-esque power ending Zombie pushes the boundaries in his customary ‘coup de foudre’ manner challenging the norm as he goes.
With dirty, growling riffs that are all talons and incisors via gentle, soothing funk interludes Zombie and his musical cohorts lycanthropically shift direction, with consummate ease, much like the cartoon anti-hero of the accompanying video.
This is the grown up filthy offspring of Motorhead and Sabbath, once raised by Alice and now a modern-day fearnaught confident in his direction applying hypnotic beats and rhythms with disregard.
The finest machine in the world as far as I’m concerned” proclaims Zombie and who are we to disagree.
