Swedish band ELECTRIC BOYS have released “SUPER GOD” from their upcoming album ‘Upside Down’.

First thing that hits you when you click play is the funk… so much funk Nile Rodgers would feel threatened.  Hard rocking fuzzing riffs, loads of Wah Wah and tempo changes throughout, this is very good.

It takes you on a ride through so many styles from the beginning opening riff through the bassline and funk and in to Conny Blooms vocal, then through to an up tempo repeating riff and lyrically catchy chorus, everything possible is packed in to this track.

Crucially though it is packed in very well.  I’m not sure what to say except dig out your flares and sunglasses, find that Afghan coat out and give it a listen, watch the accompanying video and savour something different.

ELECTRIC BOYS have such a style that keeps it firmly in the hard rock genre but with so much funk and groove it will send you on a time travel through glam rock, hair metal 80’s and right up the present day.

Electric Boys are:
Conny Bloom: guitar, vocals
Andy Christell: bass
“Slim” Martin Thomander: guitar
Niclas Sigevall: drums
Jolle Atlagic: drums
