Review by Paul Monkhouse for MPM

For a duo, Icon For Hire make a LOT of noise, demanding to be heard and bringing out mind boggling crossover tracks that just work so perfectly.

Dripping with attitude, this rap rock killer is full of barbed lyrics over razor blade guitar riffs, Ariel Bloomer spitting out the words while Shawn Jupp peels out the riffs.

There’s no messing with these two, they get in, blow you away and get out again, leaving you in a crumpled heap on the floor.

What’s so impressive is that manage to fit so much into under three minutes, although it flashes by so quickly you’d swear it was half that time, as whilst there is a direct assault on your senses you get multiple layers like a fine cut crystal caught in the light.

This is not just a wake-up call but the anthem for a new generation and Icon For Hire the perfect messengers.
