Review by Paul Monkhouse for MPM
It’s not often that a brand-new band makes such a huge and instant impression but Plush have done just that.
With the power and force of a wildly out of control wrecking ball, they’ve hit the scene with this absolute monster of a track that has ‘anthem’ written all over it.
Huge vocals, guitars turned up to eleven, bass and drums that could reduce your stereo to tiny, splintered fragments and a melody and chorus that are unbeatable all add up to something that doesn’t just kick down your door but razes it to the ground.
Massive grooves mix with the soaring Ann Wilson-like voice of Moriah Formica to devastating effect, the lyrics bittersweet, brave and full of regret and venom.
These four ladies have made their mark felt and it’s something that will remain like a brand on your skin long after the final note fades. There’s a new gang in town and they aren’t taking prisoners.
