Review by Paul Monkhouse for MPM

Let’s get this straight from the start: women can rock as hard and as well as their male counterparts any day of the week, often better.

To prove this point just take this face melting new track by the metal tornado that is Brazilian / Dutch death metal quartet Crypta. It will literally flay our soul.

Driven by the unstoppable Fernanda Lira on vocals and bass, along with drummer Luana Dametto and guitarist Taina Bergamaschi, this fearsome combination will grind you to dust under their wheels, the power of their propulsive mix taking your head clean off.

Matched with the brutal, yet melodic, fretwork of lead guitarist Sonia Anubis you have the perfect storm and it’s not going to be long before they bring their own brand of cataclysmic rampage to the stages of the world, destroying whole continents whilst they do it.
