Review by Paul Monkhouse for MPM

This is what happens when the frontmen of two of the biggest bands on the planet get together and it’s an absolute blast. Having crossed paths several times in the past, the legendary Rolling Stones frontman wanted to create something that would be a bit of fun for everyone to cheer up these difficult times and who better to join him that Foos polymath Dave Grohl.

The result is the absolutely storming ‘Eazy Sleazy’, a tongue in cheek rant about all that has bugged the world since we were forced into lockdown by the global pandemic and namechecks Zoom and the temptation to eat to much, slumped in front of the television amongst the litany of daily battles we have.

Swaggering and rocking like only they know how, the mix of Jagger’s vocals and guitar with Grohl playing guitar, bass, drums and adding backing vocals works perfectly, the result something that will certainly blast away the blues, making you dance and smile like a lunatic as you throw shapes like you haven’t done for a very long time.

Perfectly capturing these strange times, ‘Eazy Sleazy’ is also the ultimate antidote that doesn’t need to be shot into your arm. Once more, rock ‘n’ roll’s gonna save the world.
