Avarus are back with their most energetic single to date! Raw, driven and brimming with emotion, ‘Sadist’ tackles the prison of loneliness and addiction.

Laden with technical guitar riffs and exhilarating drum work this track keeps up the hype for their upcoming record ‘Parallels’, set to be released later this year.

Keeping true to their new sound, Avarus are quickly becoming very well known in the British heavy space and fans are excited for the future.

The writing process for sadist wasn’t easy. The song has a lot of meaning to me and is about a difficult time I went through in the past couple years.

Being able to use a difficult time in my life and turn it in to a song with the same people who helped me get out of that difficult time is a great feeling. Sadist is a very personal song to me and has helped me express a lot of trapped thoughts.”  – Mikey Pilgram “Jay and I worked on this song in the confines of the first UK lockdown.

Having plenty of time to reflect on how we wanted to be defined musically in our scene, we went back to the drawing board and took on an entirely new approach. ‘Sadist’ was really the birth of our new sound and set the bar for all the others songs written on the record.” – Lucas Fletcher

Avarus are:
Lucas Fletcher: Vocals
Mikey Pilgrim: Bass Guitar
Becky Slater : Drums
Jay Wagner : Guitar
