Danish titans Volbeat are back and they’re bringing the summer well and truly with them. This gift of a brace of new songs is just what we needed, both shot full of sunshine and an untouchable joy of life that’s as infectious as anything they’ve ever released before.
Fist out of the gates, ‘Wait A Minute My Girl’ is a candy coated rush of manic 60’s flavoured rock n roll meets muscular and melodic punk, complete with added sax and piano.
‘Dagen FØr’ goes down a glorious pop rock route, it’s soaring melody and guest vocals by Alphabeat’s Stine Bramsen, mark it out to be one of THE tunes to listen to on these long, balmy days.
