Review by Paul Monkhouse for MPM

Here to reiterate their claim to the crowns as Kings of British Heavy Metal, Iron Maiden release this new crushing volley as a warning to the pretenders.

Starting with the galloping bass and drums that are such a key element of classic Maiden, this is another scorching track that shows that the band have absolutely no intent on slowing down yet.

Penned by Janick Gers and Steve Harris, this is an instant mainline into your body and head, its verve and style marking it out to be a future classic and live fan favourite.

Always impressive, Bruce Dickinson is on incredible form and with its suitably thrilling guitar solo and multi layered, but never overly fussy, arrangement ‘Stratego’ hits every target dead centre.

With new album ‘Senjutso’ only two weeks away, this is another solid gold reason to order it if you haven’t already.

Taken from Iron Maiden’s 17th studio album, ‘Senjutsu’ coming September 3rd. Pre-order from https://ironmaiden.lnk.to/Senjutsu
