Black Country hard rock band Liberty Lies are back with their dark new single, MONSTER.
This is the band’s second foray back after the global pandemic, following the anthemic ‘Find Me’ which reached 6th in the rock charts, a new record for them.
However, Monster was the first track penned upon their return from isolation.
This can be heard in the dark undertones of the song. It talks of a world under a new-normal, an often coined phrase which in reality meant a worsened world…
“It was a completely new experience for us,” front man Shaun Richards remembers. “We were having to socially distance ourselves and wear masks in order to be in the same room. We are used to sharing a van and tiny dressing rooms, we’ve been friends for nearly 20 years and now we’re all potentially a threat to each other.”
Monster was the first song recorded at the band’s Wednesbury base and where the upcoming HaLLoween EP will be produced.
It is the lead single from it and it will feature some never before heard covers and special guests.
