Review by Paul Sabin for MPM

Montreal based rockers, The Damn Truth have released their second single `Tomorrow’ taken from their third studio album, `Now Or Nowhere’ which was produced by Bob Rock who is well known for his work with Metallica and Bon Jovi amongst others.

The lyrically brilliant track takes us on an arena rock journey which relays the sentiments being thought globally at this present time that we all need to focus on the now and what’s to come, rather than the past.

The four piece brings together musical elements from the 60s through to the present day including a typical strait laced public service announcement vocal intro to kick things off. Powerful guitar melodies and choral harmonies rock together with Lee-La Baum’s lead vocal making this a strait adrenalin fuelled, rousing anthem of a song.

Lead guitarist, Tom Shemer lays down some spectacular solo work on the track and Lee-La Baum’s warm vocal tone (Think Ann Wilson but with more power) are just two of the ingredients found here that pull together all the best bits of rock n roll from the last sixty years that make this a rockin’ rollaer coaster of a song.

The video which accompanies the track takes the sixty-year mix of influences to its logical conclusion where band appear in various guises from Beatle-esque, through flower power to modern day rockers and it looks like they had a blast making it.

I’ve a feeling this track is going to be fun when played live!
