Review by Paul Monkhouse for MPM

One of the breakout bands from Bloodstock 2021, London crew Borstal took the huge Ronnie James Dio stage by the scruff of the neck and made it their own.

A blast of ‘Oi!’ power and snarling, Uncompromising attitude, the unit tore into their Saturday slot and kicked off the day with a ferocious intent that didn’t let up to the very last note.

With the band busy in the studio, working on their debut album, this new single is a visceral punch
of controlled force and a solid gold promise of the righteous ferocity to come.

No Surrender’ is a massively heavy slice of howling defiance, a rallying call to the troops and the band’s core tenant of be who you are writ large, pounding bass, machine gun drums, raging guitars and blistering vocals turned to the max.

With the same muscle power that the original Oi bands and Motorhead had, this has the balls to bring down governments and make nations rise. You need this in your life.
