Opening the year with a kick and a pow is new band Swollen Teeth.
Slipknot’s DJ Sid Wilson and producer Ross Robinson have recently launched a peculiar brand of metal that sounds greatly interesting and notably enticing.
Swollen Teeth have remained in stealth mode for a few years, only playing a few shows but have recently announced their very first bit of material.
Sid Wilson assumed he would never have found another group of humans outside of Slipknot that knew the formula to transparency through frequencies and not through appearance.
Ross Robinson also added that himself and Sid listened to rough ideas and emotions ran high. He found himself getting chills throughout his body to that familiar molten metal pulse he loves so much.
Their self-titled EP will be released on April 26th via the brand new label, Blowed Out Records.
Blowed Out Records is a new label that Robinson kickstarted with Ghostemane mastermind Eric Whitney and former SideOneDummy Records owner Bill Armstrong.
Produced by Wilson at his gigantic farm studio out in Iowa, purposely mirroring the Indigo Ranch studio compound in Malibu, where Slipknot recorded their first two albums.

In conjunction with the announcement of their E.P, Swollen Teeth have released their first single alongside a video.
After listening to the new title track ‘SWOLLENTEETH’, it became apparent to me that their formula is cleverly alluring and their overall vibe kept me on the edge of my seat.
This sound left me only VERY intrigued. It also dawned how potentially massive this band could be with a sound like this. Their groove and beat is totally unpredictable, highlighting versatility but dominating consistency and a tonne of control too. It is a chunk of metal that’s been mastered and refined resulting in pure nastiness and a tonne of unique heaviness.
Talk about leaving a listener hungry, I can not wait to hear the overall outcome of this E.P.
