One of my favourite stories of this year’s Steelhouse festival happened not in the main arena nor upon its hallowed stage but in the corralled environs of the motorhome section.
A buzz circulated amongst the motorhomes and campervans; a couple of young Midlanders were drawing sizeable crowds in the darkened hours with their jam sessions. Intrigued I went in search of the source, and it didn’t take long to discover the epicentre.
Hollering out of Lichfield Jayler had set up camp, keen to further their name to all and sundry. The penny dropped that the team had been at Steelhouse the previous year but our paths never quite crossed. We were soon chatting after James and Tyler had torn through Stevie Ray Vaughan’s ‘Pride and Joy’ with aplomb.
With the delightful smell of bacon and sausages wafting across the campsite the lads talk of their inspirations, their coming together as a band and their aspirations to one day play the Steelhouse stage.
We here at Metal Planet Music wish them the very best in the journey forwards and will 100% follow and champion their undeniable potential!
