Review by Paul Monkhouse for MPM

The opening salvo from the forthcoming ‘Invincible Shield’ album, ‘Panic Attack’ is a thunderous slice of pure Priest.

Whilst other bands snap at their heels, nobody does this sort of thing better and from the futuristic keys and thrilling riff that kicks this off, this is a visceral thrill from start to finish.

With Rob Halford at his commanding best as he brings the story to life, the twin guitar attack of Richie Faulkner and the much-loved Glenn Tipton bringing not one but two scorching solos as Ian Hill and Scott Travis drive like an unstoppable freight train, it’s hard to catch your breath.

Playing with all the fire they’ve made their titanic career on, this mix of classic metal with a very modern edge is a flag waving charge by the Metal Gods that’s impossible to ignore. Absolutely phenomenal.
