Review by Paul Monkhouse for MPM

Australia has always been a fertile ground for world conquering bands, their ability to grow naturally, away from the over watchful eyes of the northern hemisphere has paid huge dividends.

Cutting their own distinct swathe across the scene, Melbourne four-piece Inferiority Complex are making huge waves in their homeland and these tremors have been grabbing attention globally.

Little wonder really as their blend of sledgehammer riffs, rapid fire percussion and soaring vocals are wed to tunes that seduce whilst slicing you to shreds is an incredibly heady combination.

Mixing a sweetness but with a dangerous edge, singer Elle McCarney’s siren call is irresistible, as the fretwork of Aaron Charles and Joseph Dipisa-Fiorenza eviscerate and Jackson Mison’s drums hit like a heavyweight on this number and it speaks of a band coming out fighting.

Sharp lyrically and perfectly structured, ‘Suffer With Me’ continues the rise of a quartet who deserve to be filling arenas and laying waste to festivals as they climb ever higher. Phenomenal.
