Review by Paul Monkhouse for MPM

The Eurythmics Annie Lennox and Aretha Franklin once famously declared that “sisters are doing it for themselves” and this very phrase could have been created especially for Daniela, Alejandra and Paulina a.k.a. The Warning.

The trio of siblings bring their not inconsiderable talents together on this, their third release, and it’s the biggest statement of intent yet as to where they’re heading.

The lead track from their new ‘Mayday’ EP, this sees the band ripping into this anthemic nitro-fuelled rocker that packs a punch like a freight train but manages to glisten with incandescent harmonies and hooks so huge you could tow continents with them.

Having already spent years touring, with opening slots for the likes of Def Leppard, The Killers and Stryper under their belts, along with two full length albums, the sisters have done things the hard way, proving themselves at every step and this new release, with master producer David Bendeth at the desk, should shoot them well and truly into the stratosphere. Prepare to have your world rocked.
