Review by Fiona Duignan for MPM
I fell in love a few years ago and I have to say the relationship is the best I’ve ever had. I knew what to expect and respect was there from the beginning.
You see, I didn’t fall in love with a guy – I fell in love with a riff. The song is called ‘Silence’ from the Conspiracy album in 2018. Yes, it was a while ago and the track wasn’t released, but Stu Bailey’s epic riff would make Hendrix proud.
Fast forward to 2021 to when I heard that there was a new release coming from White Raven Down, I was genuinely excited and couldn’t wait. My boys have not let me down.
I think this is the best vocal from Will Taylor by far. Luke brings slaps the hell out of the incredibly heavy bass from start to finish, with plenty of skin pounding attitude from drummer Tomáš. The riffs from aforementioned Stu, are off the charts and technically brilliant.
Mixed and mastered by John Cornfield (Muse, Oasis, Supergrass, King Creature) and shot by Dark Fable Media (HOSTS), Roll the Dice is dark, and almost disturbing. Check out the video and you will see what I mean. Bloody fantastic.
Don’t miss White Raven Down live because the energy on stage is fantastic. They are currently on tour in the UK with Gin Annie. Get your tickets asap https://www.whiteravendown.com/tour
