WinterStorm organisers have said they are excited to announce the addition of Swedish glam metal rockers, Crazy Lixx, blues rock singer-songwriter Sari Schorr, melodic rockers Sunstorm (featuring ex-Rainbow vocalist Ronnie Romero), and UK hard rockers The Treatment to the line-up of the Troon rock weekender.

The event will take place at Troon Concert Hall on the West Coast of Scotland from Friday 25 – Saturday 26 November 2022.

This completes a hefty bill featuring US Southern rock legends Molly Hatchet, and Scotland’s own Sandi Thom.

Since its launch in 2016, WinterStorm has become a staple for both Scottish rock fans and many others who travel from around the world.

The weekend, once again compered by the Godfather of Scottish Rock radio, Tom Russell, features some of the most famous names in rock and heavy metal, along with some of the best unsigned and rising rock talent.

The Steve Strange Main Stage (named after the late industry legend) will host seventeen bands over two days covering a variety of rock genres.

Amongst them will be ex-Iron Maiden frontman Blaze Bayley, Marco Mendoza (former Journey, Whitesnake, The Dead Daisies bassist), New Wave of British Heavy Metal band Vardis, Swedish melodic rockers Eclipse, and Kingdom of Madness (featuring original Magnum members).

Event organiser, Ian McCaig said “We are thrilled to return to Troon for the sixth WinterStorm in seven years. The pandemic caused vast issues for the music industry, so we can’t wait to rock the proverbial out of Troon in true WinterStorm style!

Amongst the rising talent on stage will be Scarlet Rebels and Sons of Liberty, along withblues rocker Rebecca Downes.

The event team have also expressed their delight at welcoming Italian melodic metal band Edge of Forever to the event. There’ll also be a touch of ‘genre bending’ with contemporary acts such as Hardwicke Circus fresh from their Glastonbury success, and the Margot Robbie-approved Daytime TV.

2022 once again sees a full second stage, with more talent than ever before. Stay For Tomorrow have just been added to the line-up which includes Australian teenage female rocker Cassidy Paris, Dawn after Dark, New Generation Superstars and more. There will also be a comedy set from the stage’s compere Pete K Mally for the first time.

The now traditional ‘After the ‘Storm’ Sunday event will include acoustic performances from Scottish singer-songwriter Sandi Thom andex-Mötley Crüe frontman John Corabi on 27 November, as well as a full afternoon and evening of indie, new wave and punk with The Skids, Big Country and From the Jam on the main stage.
