Centered around a swaggering riff and a stadium worthy chorus, the track is driven by an energy reminiscent of 70’s & 80’s speed rock, but with contemporary interest from its melodic hooks and Reckless Coast’s signature “Rock Groove” personality.

The track is a direct calling for fans of rock resurgence acts such as Måneskin, or acts such as Amyl and The Sniffers.

“Well I gossip with the devil one too many times, tell me once, tell me twice, you know I need the advice”

Gossip’ follows on from a successful release of singles such as ‘TALK’ and ‘Do You Want Me?’, seen featured on Apple’s ‘The New Rock’ playlist, Samsung’s ‘Performance Enhancing Music’ (Spotify), as well as further playlisting by The Au Review and Domestic La La.

Gossip was written to cause pure chaos live” says songwriter/frontman Jaeden Ogston. “I wanted an anarchic energy to the song, and I think we definitely delivered on that!“. “I can’t get enough of playing this song live” adds bassist India Raine “our energy goes full throttle and I love seeing the crowd’s uncontained response.

Reckless Coast were recently invited by The Harbour Agency to support The Poor, who have opened for acts such as Van Halen, KISS and AC/DC.

From touring extensively in 2022, Reckless Coast are breaking into the scene the old school way. By doing so, they have honed their artform purely in live environments, and have developed one of the most organically energised performances in the Australian scene.

This is classic high-energy no-bullshit rock’n’roll at its finest”

THE AU REVIEW

“This is straight up rock’n’roll swagger, with so much damn swing, it’s a surprise the hips aren’t dislocated.”

“The young band don’t step in the old footprints; they leave their own to inspire bands behind them… drummer Frowd knows exactly how to serve the song … Raine’s bass holds everything down impeccably. Ogston’s vocals are warm but powerful and complement the melody, which, by the way, is one of the best I’ve heard all year.”
