Rumours were whispered and hopes raised but until now nothing concrete (or gold, for that matter) but the Foos are back.
Live dates were announced a short while ago and now we have this storming new taster for their forthcoming ‘But Here We Are’ album.
Lead single and opening track of their eleventh full length release, ‘Rescued’ is a full-blooded rocker that contains a fiery defiance , shot through with pain and fragility.
Bringing together all we love about the Foo Fighters, the guitars rampage, the rhythms drive and Dave Grohl brings one of his most emotional vocals to the lyrics.
Having lost their brother Taylor Hawkins so tragically last year, this is the sound of the band using music as a catharsis, pushing through and honouring him the only way they know by making the best rock ‘n’ roll possible.
Full of the passion and raw power of their debut, you get the distinct feeling he would have loved this and you will too.
