Helmet, the iconic alternative rock band known for their ground breaking sound and electrifying performances, is thrilled to announce their 2023 European Tour.

Hailing from New York City, Helmet was formed in 1989 by vocalist and lead guitarist Page Hamilton. Since 2010, the band has consisted of Hamilton, drummer Kyle Stevenson, guitarist Dan Beeman and bassist Dave Case

Finding inspiration in the 80’s post-punk scene, Helmet became the East Coast’s answer to Soundgarden. Hellbent on being revolutionary, Helmet combined jazz-like time signatures, and the then unusual Drop-D tuning. Helmet’s independent label debut EP, Strap It On, showcased the vicious rush of the instrumental lines combined with Hamilton’s growling, trailblazing vocals.

Helmet released their breakthrough album Meantime in 1992. Three of their videos also aired on MTV. In 1993 the band collaborated with Irish rap group House of Pain for the song Just Another Victim which featured in the film Judgement Night.

Never shying away from versatility, the band crafted their 1994 album, Betty. Helmet disbanded in 1998 but reformed in 2004. They have since released four more albums- Size Matters(2004), Monochrome(2006), Seeing Eye Dog(2010) and Dead to the World(2016). In June 2021 the band released via their website only a limited edition box set entitled “Move On” featuring 4 x 7″ singles.

Known for their distinctive sound and powerful live performances, Helmet has left an indelible mark on the alternative rock genre and continues to inspire musicians and fans alike.

Having gained international acclaim with their influential albums and captivating live shows, Helmet continues to be at the forefront of the alternative rock scene. Their unique blend of heavy guitar riffs, intricate melodies, and thought-provoking lyrics has earned them a dedicated fan base around the world.
