One of the most talked about bands at Bloodstock Festival this year, Phoenix Lake certainly know how to write thrillingly anthemic songs that hit like a freight train.
Like being strapped to a rocket taking off, this latest offering from the band just doesn’t stop from its opening riff to the very last notes.
With the compelling vocals of Lana Phillis and Ash Wilson’s urgent guitar riff slicing through the air, there’s a widescreen intent here and one that could flatten city blocks.
With a visceral thrill and heart-breaking melodies, ‘Fractured Wings’ balances power and subtlety perfectly, the writing showing that they’re contenders for the major leagues.
A breathless slab of soaring modern metal and something you need in your life right now.
