Review by Paul Monkhouse for MPM

Always one of the anthems of our times, John Farnham’s 1986 global hit ‘You’re The Voice’ shouted positivity and strength, changing the world one verse and chorus at a time.

Fast forward thirty-seven years and The House We Built are putting their own spin on the timely message, adding some electronica to the hard rock heft and further beefing things up with the titanic vocals of Tyketto’s Danny Vaughn.

With its industrial metal opening and driving riffs, thunderous drums and throbbing bass, this takes the original and turns everything up to ten, turning it into a loud, rallying cry that tears down walls.

With the twin vocals of Scott Wardell and Vaughn blazing throughout, it’s all an incredibly heady mix, the euphoria overwhelming as you can sing this at the very top of your voice.

One of the most passionate and stunning takes on a classic song you’ll hear all year, this is magnificent.
