Fierce, bold and spirited, Xeneris are bringing you their latest collection of roaring tracks on their debut album “Eternal Rising”.
Taking inspiration from how the mighty legendary phoenix rises from it’s ashes, the band have used this story to create a truly powerful and compelling album.
With powerful female vocals by Maryan, roaring guitar and bass by Frederico Paolini and Roberto Donati, and wild, punchy drums by Stefano Livieri, this band are certainly pulling out all the stops to give listeners a fantastic first impression.
Hailing from Italy, we certainly get a sense that Xeneris have embedded into this album a large amount of the classic style and charm that their home country is renowned for.
Founded in 2022, it seems the band are already developing a strong image that works in perfect harmony with their passionate symphonic metal.
Overall, the album has good pacing, invigorating lyrics and strong musicianship. Some songs feature this enchanting gloomy darkness that can really bring a sense of theatre and grandeur, whereas others feature more melodic, poetic sections that contain incredible depth and emotion.
Each individual song feels really cohesive, and highlights how well the band work together to create unique storys in each and every track.

Despite this collection of different themes, styles, tempos and feels, the album is stunning as a whole, and has so much to be enjoyed.
Some of my favourite songs on this album include opening track “Barbarossa” for it’s immersive atmosphere, and “To The Endless Sea” which feels like this whirlwind of sound with crystal clear vocals that cut through the heaviness beautifully.
Make no mistake, this album is heavy, but if you prefer melodic metal, there is certainly heaps of that to be enjoyed in this album Xeneris are certainly off to a fantastic start with this debut album, and I encourage listeners to keep an eye out for whatever the band choose to do next.
