Review by Emma Brown for MPM

A polished, artful, and tasteful take on hard rock, SILVERA’s “World Behind Doors” is an album that brings all the best bits of rock, and leaves out the ego and vanity that so comes with the rockstar image.

Strong, confident, and self assured from the very first title track, SILVERA keeps things grounded and honest from the start, and carries this cool and breezy tone throughout the album.

There’s no pompous rubbish here- and for that reason, upon release I imagine that this record will have an exceptionally broad appeal, and be well received all round.

SILVERA boasts their wonderful musicianship throughout this album and there’s a sense that each band member has a fantastic ear for their instrument. From the specific guitar tones to the precision with which the instruments are played, SILVERA showcases their exceptional attention to detail in each and every song on this album.

And perhaps the most prevalent instrument of all, Michael Krough’s vocals on this record are truly captivating.

Smooth and refined like your favourite whisky, Krough’s vocals add this feeling of balance, richness and warmth, which is then enhanced by the flawless mixing and mastering that has been done on this album.

Some honourable song mentions are title track “World Behind Doors”, which builds the soundscape for the rest of this album, and “Gone Too Far” which features guest vocalist Guarnica Mancini, li ing the album up in the middle and showing off some great collaboration.

With 12 tracks, the album sits in that sweet spot of being just the right length, and throughout
there is a good mix of slower, more melodic rock, and some heavier more dramatic songs too
that really add some punch.

Overall, the album is enjoyable throughout, an easy listen, and technically a very well put
together record. Releasing on the 23rd of August 2024, I can see this album being incredibly
popular indeed
