On the new single and collaboration, BEYOND EXTINCTION comment:
“This was a crossover that we’ve dreamed of since we were teenagers. Dropping down to double drop B and adding Alex from Black Tongue onto the track feels completely natural and a step into a sound we have refined for our upcoming music. It’s slow, nasty and feels massive in scale which ties soundly into the lyrics and foreshadowing of the track.

Young, hungry, and fuelled by sheer determination and grit, the Essex death metallers BEYONDEXTINCTION began their journey at the collective age of 17. Debut EP The Fatal Flaws of Humankind (2021) was crushingly heavy for a group of boys still so green, yet their dystopian social commentary, monstrously sluggish riffs, and unparalleled work-ethic cemented them as intellectually decades ahead of their elders, and earned them a spot on Bloodstock Festival‘s New Blood stage. 2023’s Nothing More Wretched EP spring-boarded them further, absorbing skills from the bands they toured with like Signs of the SwarmHumanity’s Last BreathOsiah, and Godeater.

Then, in 2023, the unthinkable happened. Losing their late-guitarist Zach Scott was an earth-shattering event no 20 year old should have to face. But community, friendship, and opening up about your feelings can go a long way in alleviating the weight of the world. An all-day metal event, Never Forget Your Own, saw eight bands Zach was personally involved with over the years come together to celebrate his life. Raising money and awareness for three suicide prevention charities at London’s Underworld, the line-up consisted of How Long You Been Driving?GlowerDygoraBitterwoodExistentialistGodeaterBeyond Extinction, and headliners Osiah

With all this groundwork bubbling away beneath the surface, the quartet’s debut full-length album will be nothing short of a triumphant culmination of hard work in the face of adversity.

Heralded by Metal Hammer as “the best young metal band in the UK”, BEYONDEXTINCTION are just getting started.

Band Members:
Jasper Harmer – vocals
Jude Bennett – guitars
Danny Russel – guitars
Niall Ali – drums
