Today, rising alternative trio Blood Dealer unleash their new single and accompanying video for ‘Jealousy’, marking the next chapter in their sonic evolution.
With a fusion of RnB vocal runs, ferocious screams, and punishing guitar riffs, Blood Dealer continue to carve their own path in the modern heavy music scene. With ‘Jealousy’ released today, the single offers a glimpse into the band’s upcoming EP “Designer Antichrist” set to drop this May.
Bringing a visceral energy, ‘Jealousy’ explores the consuming nature of envy, weaving intricate grooves with unrelenting breakdowns. The track showcases Blood Dealer’s binding sound—a blend of intricate guitar work, powerhouse vocals, and unyielding energy. The accompanying music video visually encapsulates the tension and raw emotion of the song, on a backdrop of red and blue hues.
“Jealousy is about self-comparison, always trying to measure yourself against other people’s success and letting that take control of who you are. We wanted to showcase to our fans what Blood Dealer is all about sound wise, this song symbolises a new phase for us sonically so we’re super excited for everybody to hear it,” says vocalist Billy Douglas.
Hailing from Birmingham, Blood Dealer burst onto the underground circuit with their debut EP Chaleur in 2021, featuring James Harrison of Oceans Ate Alaska. Their previous releases, including ‘lasttimeicried’, ‘Neck Splitter’ and ‘Putrid’ exemplify the band’s ability to balance technical musicianship with hard-hitting intensity. Often likened to a fusion of Bad Omens, Chase Atlantic, and Emmure, Blood Dealer have developed a sound that is both intricate and crushingly heavy.
Having toured with bands like Graphic Nature and Dreamstate, Blood Dealer continues to build anticipation for their forthcoming EP. With ‘Jealousy’ now available on all major streaming platforms, fans can expect more explosive releases in the months ahead.
