Gothenburg-based post-metal trio Kazea is gearing up for the release of their debut album, I. Ancestral, out March 21 via Suicide Records and has just revealed a new single titled “Whispering Hand,” now playing via Everything Is Noise.
The publication describes the track as: “A driving onslaught that barely rests on its laurels for even a second, as the straightforward drums carry the track onwards with melancholic yet forceful guitars and prominent bass on top of it, capped off with clean vocals that probably aren’t what you’d expect, but which work to an excellent degree due to their delivery and hypnotizing nature.”

The band shares: “We think ‘Whispering Hand’ encapsulates the overall theme of the album, where heritage, pain, and human flaws are central. It is by far the fastest song we have in our repertoire so far, and it’s a really fun track to play live.”
If you missed it, watch a video for the album’s leading single “Wailing Blood” at this location and second single “Trenches” here.
Formed by ex-Orochen and Hellsongs members, KAZEA masterfully crafts dark, evocative soundscapes, where raw guitar melodies, rhythmic nuances, and haunting vocals converge. Several tracks feature old recording samples to heighten the emotional depth, while guest vocalists Gina Wiklund (Black Birch, GASP) and Oskar Tornborg (Wormwood, Circular Ruin) add even more intensity to the record. Pre-orders are now available at this location.

“KAZEA is an outlet for dark thoughts and feelings accumulated throughout life. I. Ancestral is the first of several releases sharing a common tonal language—though we always aim to push beyond genre boundaries,” the band shares.
