The song continues the album’s “catacomb dances” with its raw gothic and post-punk sound
New album featuring Lisa Hammer of Requiem In White out now via Rune Serpent Europa
Virgin Vampires, the goth trio, released a new video for the track “Martyrdoms And Crucifixions I” which comes off their recent album, “Whores And Judaism“, released via Rune Serpent Europa.
“Martyrdoms And Crucifixions I” delves deep into the album’s blasphemous and anti-Christian themes, a direct follow-up to the provocative introduction of the album with “Caligulae Insanus Imperator”. The song continues the album’s “catacomb dances” with its raw gothic and post-punk sound, and is another clear example of the album’s aggressive energy, favouring searing guitars and driving rhythms over electronics to create a truly authentic 80s atmosphere.

Speaking about the album’s themes, the band commented, “We’ve always sought to push boundaries, and these songs are a raw expression of the darkness and themes that drive us.“
“Whores And Judaism” marks a significant change for the band, a plunge into a classic goth and post-punk sound. The album sees Uela, known for her work in sister project Pink Panther Project, stepping into the vocal spotlight, her powerful contributions seamlessly alternating with the two male voices. The album’s 11 tracks are relentless, from the crude dance of “Caligulae Insanus Imperator” to the psychopathic lyrics of “Are They Real Or just Me?”. A guest appearance from Lisa Hammer of Requiem In White on the track “Beautiful” further enhances the release.
